Leela O’Dea CEnv C.WEM MCIEWM Msc
Leela O’Dea is both a Chartered Water & Environmental Manager and Chartered Environmentalist, having worked as a freshwater aquatic ecologist since 2000.
Leela’s career has seen her in management roles supporting multi-disciplinary technical teams as well as a consultant, providing expert technical advice gained from her many years experience as a professional environmentalist.
Leela has worked with a broad spectrum of clients across different sectors from regeneration and property development projects through to habitat creation schemes and implementing Environmental Management Systems.
Since co-founding frog environmental, Leela has been working with GIS specialists in developing bespoke mobile data collection techniques for frog environmental. She also takes a lead in forming research partnerships that support the development of frog environmental products.
Leela loves working with our academic partners as it allows her be creative in connecting innovative research to some of the important environmental challenges facing our aquatic ecosystems.
A certified outdoor junkie, Leela and can often be found scrambling around precarious peaks with her friends, she has always loved the natural world and spends most of her free time out and about in the countryside. When not mountain biking, sailing or kite surfing, Leela focuses on her most recent project: restoring a smallholding in Wales. This has led to new and interesting challenges such as herding escaped pigs, regenerating a section of her own stream and solving the riddle of the missing ducks (hint: it was a fox).
